About GILPP

Our History Building a World of Hope

After serving as a Hawaii State Representative and having a successful business career, our founder, the late Hal Jones founded Global Hope Network International to “bring help and hope to the hidden and hurting through Transformational Community Development (TCD).” After about ten years working in communities doing locally-led, sustainable, dignifying development, Hal recognized the extent to which the context in which these communities exist effects whether or not their efforts take root.

In response, Hal founded the Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy to train and equip leaders to use their platform to benefit and protect the poor and vulnerable. For over fifteen years, GILPP has worked with countless legislators and policy influencers from dozens of countries to create contexts in which all people can thrive.

GILPP was founded by Global Hope Network International. GHNI is a registered non-profit in Geneva, Switzerland and holds consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
